Research and Development

Research and development is an integral part of the work of our alliance and links closely with our professional development. As part of everyday practice we constantly ask questions, in order to reflect with discrimination on what we see. We wanted to draw on this existing culture to form the foundation and methodology for our research projects.

We also believe that any conclusions from our ongoing research should inform and influence day-to-day practice.

This year our focus has been on developing honed peer review skills. We are working on the Schools Partnership Programme (SPP) which is partly funded by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF). We are working in triads to visit each school with a key enquiry question, agreed in advance by the host school. As an outcome of the project we aim to strengthen system leadership skills across the partnership. The impact of the project will be evaluated by the EEF.
